How Do I Apply For Supported Accommodation?

The process of applying for Housing Support and Accommodation both start with an application for Positive Steps Housing Support. This can be obtained by following the link below or from calling our office on 01382 561822 and an application can be posted to you. We ask if you can complete the application as fully as possible as this will allow us to deal with your application as swiftly as possible.

We welcome applications from all external agencies as well as self-referrals, the only criteria is that the applicants require housing support. When referring, please complete the application form to the fullest. If we have all relevant details we can process applications more efficiently and this stops delays as to asking for relevant information before assessment.

Positive Steps, East Wing, Swan House, 2 Explorer Road, Technology Park, Dundee, DD2 1DX.

Once a completed application is received it will be assessed by our Housing Support Service. After assessment, if it is felt that they would benefit and would be suitable for our Accommodation Service, it will be passed to us. The Accommodation Service will then contact you for an interview as to your application for Supported Accommodation.

Our accommodation is not suitable for everyone and as with every tenancy, tenants have responsibilities they have to meet, but for those who are suitable and want to engage with our services, this can be the first step to independence.
