Positive Steps Initiative is a new social enterprise, based in Dundee. We are expanding into the field of social marketing and behaviour change; working with members of the public to encourage them to change their lifestyle choices in areas such as transport, physical activity, diet, exercise and energy use. Currently we are looking to employ an experienced and dynamic PROJECT LEADER to ensure the successful delivery of our first contract and take the lead on establishing a centre of excellence in behaviour change. The selected candidate will be commercially aware, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track-record of successfully leading a team in a customer-service environment using social marketing techniques to achieve change outcomes. The post is subject to satisfactory references and PVG Scheme Membership.

The salary scale for the post is £25,000 to £28,000 (pro rata) and initially it will be offered on a fixed term contract for nine months.

A practical knowledge of homelessness, housing related support and inter-agency working would be an advantage as would experience of working with Service Users in a group situation. SVQ II/III Health and Social Care (Adult) or equivalent is desirable. The daily use of a roadworthy appropriately insured car (mileage allowance paid) is required.

The Senior Project Worker must have a qualification suitable for SSSC registration at Supervisor Housing Support level and have an extensive knowledge of welfare rights and the benefit system.
