We believe that everyone in Scotland has an equal need for, & right to the knowledge & skills that enable them to make informed lifestyle decisions. We provide relevant & appropriate opportunities for young people to learn about, discuss & ultimately choose informed decisions about their own health & wellbeing, which will enable them to develop into mature, responsible people.

We work within the ethos of the individual school, supporting the aims of Curriculum for Excellence & within National Guidelines. Our role is to encourage young people to understand & handle their own sexual feelings in a positive, responsible manor – enabling them to express intimacy in loving, mutually affirming & satisfying relationships in a time-scale appropriate to them.

Positive Steps Sexual Health Education programmes are delivered through a four-fold approach, working in Primary & Secondary schools, in community settings, – with parents & guardians – through the training of other professionals.

Full details of the corresponding Health & Wellbeing Outcomes for each topic are available from our Education Office – pupils could also benefit from the practical activities & group discussions within a "Positive Health Day" where our team delivers a variety of engaging discussions to a selected year group.
